Vanessa is Associate General Counsel and Vice President of HR Services at Engage PEO, where she leads the company’s team of Human Resources Consultants. She works with clients across industries to address complex HR and employment law challenges, and she advises Engage’s internal teams on a wide range of compliance matters.

Vanessa joined Engage in 2014 as an Assistant General Counsel and HR Consultant, supporting clients nationally, with a focus in the Northeast. She provided guidance on day-to-day HR issues ranging from employee relations to regulatory compliance. Earlier in her career, she served as an employee relations manager at a unionized public utility, where she handled labor and employee relations matters for more than 500 employees. She also managed business immigration and global mobility compliance, as well as addressing employee and labor relations issues at Time Inc., practiced law as an associate at Kaye Scholer LLP, and served as a law clerk at Kane Kessler P.C., supporting the Labor and Employment group with a focus on unionized hospitality clients.

At Engage, Vanessa helps ensure clients receive practical HR guidance grounded in a strong understanding of employment law and workplace compliance. Engage clients have direct access to HR Consultants who are licensed employment attorneys, giving employers added perspective when navigating compliance, managing risk, and supporting their workforce.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law.
