Engage PEO Adds PEO Industry Veteran in Texas
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – May 19, 2026 – Engage PEO, a leading professional employer organization providing HR outsourcing solutions to small and mid-sized businesses nationwide, today announced that Teresa Thompson has joined the company as vice president of sales, Texas. Based in Dallas, Thompson will help expand Engage’s presence across Texas by working with employers and professional advisors to bring the company’s PEO services to more businesses in the region and across the country.
“Texas was one of Engage’s first PEO markets many years ago. As a result, the company has established long-term relationships with clients and advisors in Texas,” said Jay Starkman, CEO of Engage PEO. “Teresa is a well-known force in this state. She brings more than three decades of experience in the PEO industry, helping business leaders assess complex HR needs, building lasting relationships in the Texas business community, and showing employers what PEO support can provide. That experience matters as we bring Engage’s service model to more businesses in Texas and across the country.”
“Teresa knows how to make the PEO conversation practical for business owners and professional advisors,” said John Cataldo, group vice president of sales, Southern Divisions. “She understands the questions they ask, the concerns they raise, and the level of service they expect after the sale. That kind of perspective will help us build on Engage’s existing relationships in Texas while supporting opportunities nationwide.”
Thompson brings more than 33 years of experience in PEO, ASO, payroll outsourcing, and HR services. A longtime PEO consultant, speaker, and published author, she has partnered with business owners and key decision makers to help companies reduce administrative burdens, support growth, improve profitability, and attract strong talent. Throughout her career, Thompson has earned numerous Presidents Club honors and business community awards, served as board president of The Finance Forum in Dallas, and held advisory and leadership roles with business and professional organizations.
“I’ve spent my career helping business owners see what the right PEO relationship can do for their company,” said Thompson. “When it works, it gives them more confidence, better support for their people, and more room to focus on growth. Engage stands out for the strength of its service. Employers get access to HR Consultants who are licensed employment attorneys, and referral partners know Engage is built to support their client relationships, not compete with them. I’m excited to help bring that model to more businesses across Texas and beyond.”
