Employee Portal Muti-Factor Authentication

What is Multi-Factor Authentication?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security system that requires more than one method of authentication from independent categories or credentials to verify the user’s identity for a login.

Why is Engage using MFA for my login to the Employee Portal?

MFA is an effective way to provide enhanced security. Traditional usernames and passwords can be stolen, and they’ve become increasingly more vulnerable to brute force attacks.

What authentication methods are available?

Users will receive an authentication email to the primary email on file. If a user’s mobile phone number is on file the user will have the ability to select to receive an authentication code via an SMS message. When using email, check your “JUNK” or “SPAM” folders if you do not find the email in your inbox.

How do I confirm and/or update the email address and the cell phone number on file?

Once you’ve accessed the Employee Portal navigate to the Personal menu and choose Contact Info. Within this menu you can review and update the email address on file along with adding or modifying the cell phone number on file.

Can I opt out of using MFA?

No, you cannot opt out. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security system that adds increased security to a user’s information.

Who do I contact if I encounter problems with MFA?
