Service Center Specialist – Open Enrollment Temp to Hire

We are seeking a Service Center Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position will be a part of the Service Center team to assist work site employees and employers with Engage PEO’s clients.  The Service Center Specialist will report directly to the Service Center Manager. Duties include (but are not limited to) Client Support, Benefit Duties, and miscellaneous projects.

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, be computer savvy, have experience working in a windows-based environment, including knowledge of MS Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint). Engage PEO is looking for someone that can wear different hats, that can work in a team environment and understand that their contribution will be essential for the success of this project. The employee will be asked to assist in various projects including providing to the support to the HR Service Center by assisting client with Benefit related questions.


  • Client Support - HR Service Center duties
    • Answer incoming Tier 1 calls including employee and employer inquiries
    • Route calls to appropriate departments or create PrismHR cases
    • Monitor general department inboxes and support with questions and concerns
    • Process background screening and drug testing request from our clients
    • Process verification of employment and verification of income for our clients
    • Administer E-Verify Requests for all new hires for our clients
    • Answer payroll and benefits questions
    • Assist worksite employees with employee portal trouble shooting
    • Process Employee Benefits enrollments assistance
  • Additional Duties
    • Administrative Duties and Support to the HR Service Center and other departments as needed
      • Benefits Support:
        • Putting together Benefits packets
        • Putting together orientation folders
      • Implementation Support:
        • New Business set up
      • Unemployment Support:
        • Process unemployment claims through the various state websites as needed


  • Must possess advanced Excel skills and be familiar with all Microsoft Office Applications, including SharePoint and Teams
  • Ability to learn quickly and having excellent memory retention due to the amount of detail involved
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in dynamic, rapidly changing environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions

  • Must be able to work a full-time 8-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break between the hours of 8AM – 8PM; Monday – Friday
    • Specific shift times may change dependent of operations and open enrollments scheduled
  • Must be able to work in an office environment with CDC guidelines in place.


  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred, or
  • Equivalent experience (3 years minimum) resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, such as accounting, benefits administration, business administration, customer service etc., or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of customer service experience preferred
  • ClientSpace and PrismHR knowledge is a preferred
  • Medical benefits knowledge and understand is a plus
